1. Culture... winter festivals

Traditionally, the three wise men visit children on this evening to bring them their presents. Witness this spectacular and colourful procession.

Fiestas de Carnaval - Mid February, the week before Ash Wednesday

One of the biggest and best carnivals in the Spanish calendar. Enjoy the elaborate costumes, parades and dancing in the streets with this curious mix of religious and pagan rituals.

2. History... the Alcazaba

Located in Plaza de la Aduana, the remains of this ancient Moorish palace are within easy walking distance from Malaga city centre. Visit during the winter when it's cooler, for a magnificent view of the city and bay.
